We’ve Improved Our Health And Safety Precautions!

health and safety protocols

The current pandemic has caused people to put off vacations and even avoid seeing the dentist for checkup and cleaning visits. We understand our patients’ concerns, but as dentists, we also know that lack of regular visits could allow, minor issues to grow in severity, eventually threatening the health, beauty, and stability of the smile. In today’s blog, your Bedford, MA, dentist is looking at our new health and safety precautions!

Before You Visit Our Office

Our team wants you to enjoy peace of mind, and be safe, when you visit our office for treatment. For that reason, we’re following the strict safety precautions put forward by both the American Dental Association (ADA) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC). For starters, we’re scheduling fewer visits during the day to ensure our waiting rooms stay empty, and that there is plenty of time in between each visit to properly clean and disinfect the waiting rooms and treatment areas. When you call, we’ll ask a few simple screening questions about symptoms and whether you’ve visited areas with a high infection rate. That will help us decide when to schedule your appointment.

New Protocols

When you arrive, instead of just walking in first give us a call and remain in your car until we invite you inside, to ensure proper social distancing. We’ll ask the same screening questions, and when you enter the office, we’ll provide hand sanitizer and also take your temperature. We require patients to wear masks, and our team will be doing the same. Along with masks, we’ll also wear offer forms of PPE, including face shields, gloves, and gowns. We’ll offer hydrogen peroxide pre-rinses, and will be using advanced cleaning and disinfecting options to thoroughly clean the air and surfaces throughout the day. When you leave, we’ll have a partition at the front desk while you pay and set up your follow up visit!

Our Checkup and Cleaning Visit

Be sure you attend your checkup and cleaning visit every six months. For people of all ages, from kids to adults, these visits help ensure strong smiles and allow us to address issues like decay or gingivitis in the earliest stages.
